Got Milk?

They are still filming the movie, "Milk", around the City. March 9 is the reconstruction of the 1978 Gay Freedom Day for the film. They are recruiting extras.

What is amusing is the release you have to sign. It seems a bit over-reaching or perhaps it is forward thinking. I can't tell which.
By agreeing to participate in this recreation, you hereby grant Milk Productions, LLC the right, but not the obligation, to photograph you and exploit your likeness, voice and other sound effects in and in connection with the production, exhibition, distribution, promotion, exploitation, publicity and advertising of a motion picture without compensation in all media throughout the universe in perpetuity.
Really? All media throughout the entire universe forever? What if I have already granted a print exclusive to Alpha Centauri?

I have enjoyed watching the changes made in the Castro for the filming in late January and early February. My father passed away in another state, so I didn't get to see all the filming.

They repainted the Castro Theatre sign to the 1970's red and bright colors, as well as repaired the broken neon.

They hid the MUNI Harvey Milk Plaza Metro Station behind plywood for obvious reasons.

They even hid the Sprint store behind plywood for not so obvious reasons.

The best of all was the all too brief return of 1970s gas prices.
